Finished Right is an independent property and workmanship inspection business. For website enquiries and inspection administration, Finished Right is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

When you use the enquiry form, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, property location, property type, selected inspection option and the information you include in your message.

If you later book an inspection, we may also hold information needed to arrange access, complete the inspection, issue invoices, prepare reports and keep appropriate business records.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, understand the inspection requested, arrange and administer inspections, communicate with customers, prepare and deliver reports, keep appropriate business and insurance records, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Lawful bases

For enquiries and steps taken at your request before a booking, we generally rely on contractual necessity where processing is needed to respond to a request or to take steps towards providing a service, and on legitimate interests for proportionate administration, record keeping and business communications. Where we are legally required to retain or disclose information, we rely on our legal obligation to do so.

We do not use the enquiry form to add people to a marketing list. We will only send marketing communications where we have a lawful basis to do so and, where required, the appropriate consent.

5. Who we share information with

We may share relevant information with service providers that help us operate the business, such as our website hosting provider and Microsoft 365 services used to receive and send business email. We may also disclose information where necessary to professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement agencies or courts, where lawful and appropriate.

Some technology suppliers may process information in countries outside the UK. Where this occurs, we will use the safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
